Welcome to Tom Sanderson Tutoring. My goal is to help your child grow in confidence, ability, and results. I’m Tom, and I’m based in Milton Keynes. I specialise in 11+ and Grammar School preparation, GCSE Maths and English, and I also provide tailored support for Special Educational Needs (SEN) and home education (EOTAS). I use Positive Psychology to go beyond conventional teaching, giving students the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Here, mistakes are part of learning, and we always go at your pace.
Whether your child is preparing for the 11+ and Grammar School entrance exams, working towards their GCSEs, or needs patient and personalised support, I make sure every learner gets the attention they deserve. What’s the difference between 11+ prep and general tutoring?
11+ preparation focuses specifically on the topics assessed in the 11+ exam: Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English. These topics aren’t taught in schools, which is why dedicated 11+ preparation is different from general subject tutoring.
Does Tom tutor children with SEN?
Yes. Tom holds a BSc in Psychology and uses Positive Psychology techniques to support children with Special Educational Needs, working at each child’s own pace.
Do you offer in-person or online sessions?
Both. Sessions are available in person around Milton Keynes or online, at a time that suits your family.
